WHAT'S ONE STORY OR IMPORTANT ASPECT YOU ALWAYS TELL PEOPLE ABOUT YOUR TIME ABROAD?
It's impossible to choose one, but I love to talk about my trip to Prague. By accident, we arrived in cherry blossom season and the entire city was covered in beautiful pink cherry trees. Exploring the city, trying the cuisine, and admiring the beauty has become my internal picture for spring
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE CLASS WHILE ABROAD, AND WHY?
My two favorite classes while abroad were Rome Sketchbook and Food and Culture in Italy. Rome sketchbook was incredibly impactful for my memory of my time abroad. The time I spent drawing ruins, landscapes, and people rooted all the different elements of the city in my mind. Food and Culture in Italy was the most engaging class of my degree thus far. Learning about the history of the country through the lense of food was such a unique practice. Claudia and Professor Smith are also the most memorable instructors and both masters of their craft.
